Overview
As a patient in the hospital, you have certain rights and responsibilities. It is important to be aware of these rights and responsibilities to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for other patients, visitors, and staff.
Patient Rights
- Get addressed regarding their values and beliefs, any special preferences, cultural and spiritual needs.
- Right to maintain privacy during examination, procedures and clinical care treatment. Respect for personal dignity.
- Protection from neglect and abuse.
- Right to maintain confidentiality about treating patient information.
- Right to refusal of treatment.
- Right to seek an additional opinion regarding clinical care.
- Informed consent before the transfusion of blood and blood components/any procedure.

- Right to get information on expected costs of treatment.
- Right to access their clinical records.
- Right to get information on the name of the treating doctor, care plan, the name of the treating doctor, care plan, the progress of the patient and information on their healthcare needs.
- Sensitive/confidential information will be shared with the patient, and the next of kin if desired by the patient. In case of minors, it will be provided to at least one of the patients/guardians.
- Patient and families have a right to information and education about their healthcare needs.
Patient Responsibilities
- Answer questions correctly.
- Please provide accurate information about your health including past illness or health problems, hospitalization, allergies and the current or past use of medication.
- Make sure you understand.
- Ask to have the information explained to you prior to signing if you don’t understand.
- Read all medical forms including consents thoroughly.
- Follow the treatment plan recommended by your health care provider.
- Help us to serve you better.
- Be considerate of the hospital personnel and property.
- Please observe facility policies and procedures, including those regarding smoking, noise and number of visitors.

- Asst. Medical Superintendent / Medical Coordinator: Regarding medical matters
- Sr. General Manager (Operation): Regarding non-medical matters
- DGM Finance: Regarding financial and billing matters
- Nursing Superintendent: Regarding matters related to nursing and attendants
- Floor Managers are available at the floors from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. for patient related services where patient and patient’s relatives can directly communicate with them for any type of assistance
