Today Kothari Medical Centre stands as a concrete testimony to fulfilment of the dream of our founder, Shri G. D. Kothari – a philanthropist of stature and foresight, who was totally committed for the well being of the patients backed by a dedicated team of medical and paramedical staffs.
The founder, Shri G D Kothari, was a man of deep insight. An outstanding Philanthropist as well as an astute businessman, his personality was a happy blend of humanity and shrewd pragmatism.
His dream was to bring the finest diagnostic and surgical facilities to the common man. A dream that found concrete shape in 1971 in the form of Kothari Centre for Gastroenterology. With a dedicated team of medical and paramedical staff, Shri Kothari laid foundation stone of Kothari Medical Centre what can truly be called a legend in the annals of medical history.

As Trustee, Kothari Medical Centre, it fills me with immense pride and gratitude in observing the increasing faith bestowed upon us today by patients from both India and abroad. The Centre, which was set up in the year 1971 by our visionary Founder, Shri G D Kothari, continues to fulfill his vision of bringing advanced healthcare within the reach of the common man. This inspired commitment to healthcare has enabled us to grow exponentially over the years – to be ranked today among the top multispecialty healthcare establishments of Eastern India.
